Cookie Policy

1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as your booking slot) over a period of time.
2. Our Philosophy: Essential Use Only
Unlike most websites, we do not use cookies for retargeting, marketing, or selling your data to advertisers. We operate on a strict "need-to-know" basis. We use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) solely for:
- Functionality: making sure the website actually works.
- Security: detecting bot attacks and preventing payment fraud.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are required for the operation of our website. They include:
- Session cookies: to keep your booking session active while you select a time in our scheduling tool.
- Payment cookies (BTCPay): to monitor the status of your digital-asset invoice (for example, detecting when a technical procedure is confirmed on the network protocol) without refreshing the page.
3.2. Security and Fraud Prevention (Third-Party)
If you choose to pay via credit card, our processor Stripe places cookies and uses browser fingerprinting technologies.
- Purpose: these are not for advertising. They are used to detect abnormal behavior (for example, bots testing stolen cards) and to ensure the operational validation is legitimate.
- Data collected: IP address, device ID, and browser patterns.
- Opt-out: these cannot be disabled if you wish to use the credit card payment method, as they are essential for financial security compliance.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party tools that may set their own cookies to enable their functionality. We do not control these cookies, but we have vetted these partners for privacy alignment.
| Provider | Purpose | Cookie Type |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduling provider | Scheduling and booking | Functional (Essential) |
| BTCPay Server | Digital asset technical procedures (on-chain) | Functional (Essential) |
| Stripe | Fiat and card payments | Fraud detection (Security) |
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can control or delete cookies via your browser settings (usually under "Privacy and security").
- For digital asset users: if you block all cookies or JavaScript, BTCPay Server may not auto-update the invoice status, requiring you to manually refresh the page to see your operational validation confirmation.
- For card users: blocking cookies may cause Stripe to reject your technical procedure due to inability to perform fraud checks.
